"I have tried Yellow Van guys on three different occasions and cannot think of how anybody else could be better.  I used them for regular carpet cleaning.  I was impressed by the thorough explaining of the process and clear price quotes.  It turned out that some of the stains kept coming back but Yellow Van relentlessly pursued, coming back at least 6 - 7 times to hit 'em again till  they were gone.  I didn't even have to call them after a while as they would "drop by" to follow themselves.  Second time was when our water heater broke and basement was a swimming pool.  I called a local guy first who came with more of an "overgrown shop vac"!  and told us it'll be all fine if we used our four small table fans overnight after he had sucked out about 1/2 bucket of water.  Next morning no surprises we discovered that the water had spread further.  I decided to call Yellow Van and the REAL HELP arrived.  Carpet was completely dried over the next few hours and further damage prevented.  Third time we used them to install a new carpet and no surprises we have been thoroughly impressed with no complaints whatsoever.   Needless to say I have Yellow Van's number stored in my cell phone now and truly believe they are the best guys around."  Kavir - Grand Island - August 28, 2006

“Yellow Van came to my rescue on December 29, 2005.  I came home from dinner one evening to find water squirting out all over my bathroom and into the master bedroom.  In a newly purchased home that you haven’t even grown accustomed to yet, the thought of where the shut off valve was never entered my mind.  After we located the valve and the water was turned off, I assessed the damage and low and behold it had not only soaked my master bath and bedroom, but had gone into the basement as well.  The ceiling tile was falling down all over the carpet and the carpet had turned into a small pond.  Clearly a task I wasn’t equipped to handle.  Never having had to go through something like this before, I had no idea who to call.  A neighbor who saw all the commotion, shared with me that she had heard about Yellow Van and they would definitely be the company to call.  I ripped the plastic off my newly delivered phone book and made a call into Yellow Van.

"On July 25, 2005, a water hose to the clothes washer burst in our  new home.  We had lived in this new home just 4 months and we had a mess!  Water was pouring into the main floor utility room, kitchen, dining room, and living room.  And to make matters worse, water was running through floor heat vents into the basement which was partially finished.  In a panic we immediately knew we couldn't handle this catastrophe ourselves and thought of Yellow Van Cleaning Servies.  A quick phone call and they were here within an hour with a truck load of fans, dehumidifiers, vacuums, and other assorted equipment.  What a relief to see them pull up into the driveway as we were fruitlessly working away with a shop vac and broom!  Two men immediately assessed the situation and before we knew it water was being vacuumed up, fans going, and our rapid heartbeats had returned to almost normal!  Within four hours, most water had been removed and the fans and dehumidifiers were going.  They even had equipment to remove water that had seeped under the kitchen cabinets and then blow in fresh air!  Over the next 5 days Yellow Van daily checked the equipment and checked humidity with special instruments in the floor, trusses, studs, walls, etc.  After the humidity and moisture in the structural components was reduced to normal, they moved appliances, etc. back into the house.  I should mention too, that on a daily bases they were spraying all affected areas with an agent to prevent mold and mildew.  Yellow Van and their people were very professional, thorough and efficient in taking care of this mess!  We would not hesitate to call them again and can confidently recommend them to others needing this service.  They were lifesavers!  Thank you Dave Keiter and your Yellow Van crew."  Jim - Kearney - September 13, 2005

"It is so nice to be back to normal after our water episode upon moving to Kearney on April 1st.  When we unloaded the moving van we had most of the boxes put in the finished basement so we could unpack them at our convenience.  In the meantime we were getting our bedroom put together.  We have a soft side waterbed and used the water faucet in our back yard to fill it.  All seemed to be going well at the time, but remember we moved in on April Fools Day.  We slept in our bed that night and the following day we were starting to unpack the boxes down stairs.  We noticed our knees were getting wet.  At first we thought something in a box must have spilled, but upon further inspections we realized the basement carpet was soaked throughout a large area.  We called the people we purchased the house from and they said they forgot to tell us about a burst pipe in the basement wall because it had frozen when they hadn't drained their hose before winter last year.  We moved some of the boxes and tried to clean it up with a shop vac, but there was way too much water for that.  Our son in law recommended we call Yellow Van.  Being new in town it was nice to have a reference on who to call.  We called yellow Van and the next morning you were there with your equipment.  After moving our furniture and some of our boxes you accessed the damage and started clean up efforts.  After eliminating a lot of the water you started huge fans and dehumidifiers over the whole area.  At some point I know you sprayed to prevent any mold from occurring.  That was a really big relief, as we have heard horror stories about mold.  A week later, after all the area was dry you had already lined up the drywall and carpet people for that work to be done.  It was nice we didn't have to schedule these things ourselves  They each called and set a time to come over to take care of their work.  After they competed their work Yellow Van came back to clean and scotch-guard our carpet.  Yellow Van people moved all our furniture back into place an asked if there was anything else they could do for us.  I told them my husband was out of state and I had been painting up stairs and had a large mirror that needed to be hung back up over the fireplace,  it was way too heavy for me to lift and hang that high.  Your men came upstairs and hung it for me.  Your whole crew and the people you hired for the drywall and carpet were always very conscientious and courteous and went out of their way to help in any way they could.  While we wish the damage had never occurred, we are so thankful our son in law referred us to Yellow Van.  We were totally impressed!  We already have and will continue to recommend Yellow Van for carpet cleaning and / or any damage cleanup or repair to any one we know.  Thank you so much, we truly appreciate your expertise and friendly staff!"   Mary - Kearney - July 20, 2005

"Dear Yellow Van - Yellow Van was called upon to clean my house because my furnace malfunctioned and filled my house full of smoke and soot.  The next day they were at my house to see what had to be done.  Due to the flooding in the surrounding areas, it took them a couple days to get back to my house to start cleaning.  Once they started the job they did not quit until they were finished.  The first day, two young men cleaned the furnace ducts.  They were very efficient and polite.  They were busy the entire day and never just stood around.  On the second and third day, two ladies came and cleaned the walls, ceiling, woodwork, and whatever else needed cleaned.  They also cleaned the blinds and took the curtains to the cleaners.  These ladies did an excellent job and were very thorough.  Again, they worked hard and did not waste any time.  The last day two young men came and cleaned the carpets and upholstered furniture.  In about three hours, they had everything spic and span.  When they were finished there was only a clean house smell, not a chemical smell.  Yellow Van Cleaning Services did an excellent job.  I was very pleased with the  efficient, effective work they did.  I would recommend them to clean for anyone.  Thank you workers and all.  Sincerely!"  Mae - Amherst - June 20, 2005

"Dear Yellow Van - My family and I would like to thank the Yellow Van team for making a somewhat challenging situation one that we could deal with better.  After living in our house for 4 years, we started noticing a black film coming through the paint on every room on our main floor.  We asked all of our friends and family what they thought was wrong and no one could figure it out.  We decided to contact our insurance company to see if they knew what was wrong.  They determined that we had, had smoke damage at some point and it had been painted over and was now coming through the paint.  Yellow Van came out and tested for mold and other problems to make sure they were dealing with smoke damage.  They were very prompt in deciding the plan of action, and started working on the house within the week.  Yellow Van kept in contact with us the whole time to let us know what was being done and how much longer it would take.  They had to scrape the ceilings, clean all the walls and ceilings, paint all the walls and ceilings with Kilz, cleaned all the carpets, and cleaned all the duct work out.  This was in 6 rooms and a hallway, so it was no little area.  We went over everyday to see how things were going, and they made quick progress.  One of the things that impressed me the most was that everyday the mess was picked up and organized.  That made it so much easier for us to go back in and do our painting.  (They even left the tape around the wood work, so we didn't even have to redo that when we painted, that was a huge help.)  They were very helpful whenever I called to ask questions, they always called me back right away if they were out, or had an answer right away.  I had never done this kind of thing before, and probably had some "stupid questions", and they never made me feel like what I was asking was out of line.  I think Yellow Van did a very professional job and were very courteous to us the whole time.  Being out of your home was a very hard things, especially when you have a 1 year old and a 7 year at home, and they made every attempt to get things done quickly, but did an excellent job.  Recently our neighbors had a fire in their home, and they asked where do we even start.  I immediately went in to the house and got Yellow Van's card and told them that you did an excellent job for us, and highly recommend you to help them.  Hopefully we never have to go through this type of thing again, but I would for sure call Yellow Van again, and would recommend you to anyone I know who would need your services.  Thanks again!  Great job.  Keep up the good work."  Sincerely Yours, Angie - Gibbon - June 18, 2005

"THANK YOU!" just is not enough to say for the terrific job the Yellow Van employees did handling the horrible mess they confronted upon arrival at our home.  Downspouts had blown off during a torrential rainstorm, thus the rainwater came through the bedroom window and down the wall, soaking the carpet.  I had originally called a local cleaning service to handle this water in my basement.  He could not come until evening, but he told me it would be fine until he could get there.  Just put a fan on it and run my small dehumidifier - so that's what I did.  I went to work feeling things were under control...no worries.  That evening, this man came with ONLY an "overgrown shop vac"! No fans, no dehumidifiers - nothing to totally take care of this water problem. He finished in less than an hour and assured me with my little  fan and dehumidifier, it would be dry in 2-3 days.  Right then I had some reservations, but I thought he knew what he was doing - after all, he had cleaned my carpets before and they had always looked great and smelled so fresh and clean!  Well, guess what?  By morning my basement was a sauna!  All he managed to do was spread the water around and under the wall into another room, causing more damage!  I awoke to such a mess!  I was in tears!  With my extreme allergy to mold, I knew I had to do something more!  I remembered the Yellow Van card at the office and rushed to call for help!  Needless to say, within an hour REAL HELP arrived!  Because I had gone to work early to call, my son greeted them and immediately the TROOPERS went to work!  In a short time, my son called with the details of their plan of action and I told them to do whatever they had to do to fix the mess, because my life depended on it!  Yellow Van personnel stayed on top of every detail, calling by phone to check on us, coming back several times to check progress and move the air equipment.  I felt such relief after just two days!  These people are experienced, knowledgeable, responsible, and trustworthy!   THEY ARE THE BEST!  REMEMBER TO CALL YELLOW VAN CLEANING WHEN YOU HAVE A DISASTER OF ANY KIND!  I BELIEVE THEY CAN HANDLE ANYTHING!! "On Tuesday, April 19, 2005, I received a phone call at work from my neighbor that the city sewer had backed up in another neighbor's basement.  I quickly went home to find that I had sewer water in my basement and on our personal items.  I recognized the Yellow Van Cleaning van down the alley and asked if they would start the cleanup process.  [The salesperson] of Yellow Van walked with me to my house, took pictures, gave me his card, and explained the process of cleanup.  I had three tech's in my basement very quickly extracting sewer water, removing carpet, vinyl flooring, sheetrock, etc.  The tech's were very thorough, well trained, understanding, and took time to answer every question as we had never been through this process.  At one point I had a question about billing which the tech could not answer so he dialed his cell phone and contacted a supervisor, asked his supervisor, and let me talk to his supervisor.  You can't ask for better service than that.  My wife and I were very depressed by this situation because we had just remodeled the basement the year before with our labor.  One of your tech's made a comment that made my wife and I feel good, 'that this was a home not a house.'  Enough said.  I called [the office] two or three times in the following days and was called back promptly each time with thorough answers.  Tech followed up the next couple of days and answered all questions while he was there.  I was in customer service for six years and a customer service manager so I have a little knowledge on customer service.  My wife has worked at a large retail store for 17 years and as a assistant manager for 12 of those years.  We both have first hand knowledge on customer service and employees.  We know you have excellent employees and did a great job.  I hope I don't need this service again, but I would call you again for your services.  I have already recommended your comany to everyone I have told my story to."  Sincerely  Sean - Kearney - May 9, 2005

"One Saturday, after having  the misfortune of discovering that a water hose had been left running for quite some time and realizing that this water had filled up a window well, needless to say, we were in a panic.  The water had made its way into the basement leaving standing water at the base of the stairs and in a room used as a gym and sorage area.  With so many boxes to move and gym equipment to tear down, we were overwhelmed.  After fully assessing the situation, we put in a call to Yellow Van.  As always, they were very courteous and helpful and said they would send someone out right away.  We had someone at our house within thirty minutes.  Dave Keiter, himself,  helped my husband remove water out of the window well by the bucketfuls.  The Yellow Van crew asisted in moving furniture and worked quickly to get everything out of standing water.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  This manner of professionalism and calmness in an otherwise chaotic situation, helped to calm my nerves and have faith that they knew what they were doing.  Coming in and out of the house, they were very careful not to disturb the furniture and placed guards where they thought a hose might be rubbing up against the walls.  This small attention to detail impressed me along with the positive attitude of the crew.  They placed dehumidifiers to remove any remaining water and were excellent about coming out daily to check on the progress of the damage, filling us in on the progress and letting us know how much longer the machines would be needed.  In the end, everything was salvageable and was restored to normal.  In addition, they helped us find someone who could stretch the carpet back in place.  [They] contacted us right away and had someone at my house in no time!  I am convinced, because of the excellent service that I received from Yellow Van, that they would not subcontract with just anyone but with people as professional as they are.  In a small crisis, like this, we needed the voice of reason, someone to tell us that everything was going to be okay.  This is what Yellow Van did for us.  I am very appreciative for the service that we received and would highly recommend them to all who may ever need them.  Thank You Yellow Van!"  Jonathan - Kearney - March 11, 2005
